Nice Drew! Do you have any pics of the mounts?
Some pics from today.
Check your PM
I got impatient , so I mounted the bumper and installed the fog lights. Still need to wire them up. Kinda hard to photograph a black bumper against white paint in this light, but you get the idea. ...

No and yes. I bought a cheap used slide off CL and welded on new feet so it would mount in the van. I repaired some damage and replace the plywood. I also added a piece of metal to the slide to...
My cargo tie down rings arrived today. Now I need to find something to strap down...
Out of magenta...
This will have to do for now.
Gonna let it cure overnight, then I will flip it and hit the inside....
I was thinking a nice magenta... :p
First coat of primer. Painting this one myself. Don't want to wait two weeks for powder.
Are you talking about structural or aesthetics? I am guessing aesthetics, and if that's the case, I am planning on doing a skid plate that will span the bottom lip, drop down and back about 6",...

Pics of the welds and gusseting from this morning. All four gussets are 3/8" thick and 3" on each welded side.
Honestly, my biggest concern is where the OEM bumper mount plate is welded to the frame horn. What I need to do is figure out how to tie into the frame sides to distribute the load. The reason that...
Thx. I may add a crossmember to tie both mounting brackets together. Trust me, I am with you on the whole overbuilt idea. One of these days, I might even pick up a bottle of gas and step away from...
Let's see some of the grindage!
Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I am still a ways off from be able to afford a winch.
Got some more work done on the front bumper today. I picked up some 1/4" plate and made up some bumper bracket mounting plates and frame extensions. Here it is after I added the gusset.
Some of the cargo track fittings showed up today. These are from Mac's Custom Tiedowns. I got four. Not cheap...
