Herbie - wow! Looking awesome, and love the aerial shot. Was that with your kite-camera thing?
Herbie, is that ariel shot taken from the top of a sportsmobile ? :)

Shot with a $50 craigslist camera running CHDK hanging from a 14sqft sled kite. A few details here.

Usually I get better altitude, but the wind was gusty that day, so I wasn't able to keep the sled climbing up enough to pull the rig higher than 20 ft or so.

Hey Brian, if that SMB had an Aluminess front bumper, that picture would look strangely familiar, like one of those pics of us out at Douglas Creek Canyon or FS 17 or the route from Winthrop over the pass to Oroville or something, eh?

Yeah, I thought the same thing. And did you notice the railroad tracks in the left side of the photo? Herbie, where was this meet at?

That's the trailhead (A, on the below map) where Split Mountain road ends at the Gypsum Mine at the edge of Anza Borrego Desert State Park. Following the "road" east, you transition onto BLM land. We camped near the 2nd trestle (B)

Not mine, but nice!

A coworker just sent me this pic of a van he said was parked in downtown Seattle today for the Supercross. The coil spring lift has to be scary at that height, but it looks like a beast!

I like the Throttles idea of hot chick every so often. Keeps me from getting too carried away with van porn

I saw some familiar faces; all the Astros, some of the SMB's. Too bad some of the other faces weren't familiar.

OK OK,Im getting to IT

Ok,So Finally gave up on the Quadravan since she quit on me.Note to self what do drill rigs really do??Any ways 1 dead cylinder and 14 hours just in interior to remove drill rig framing and rusted out roof!Just replaced Qvan with a 1987 Ford E350 Collins Bantam Bus,6.9 and a c6.Start build in two weeks after securing some parts from Gordon @ Pathfinder.I may be partial to E250s but im more partial to my $$$ and that pig of a 460 was not getting any more.Mapping out interior to include sink/stove , slide out rear kitchen ...etc
