He's a member here too. I think he scrapped his plans for this project and began something else...?

It was looking like something really viable but I recall him commenting on the weight issue and some other things. But yeah, I think that project went the way of so many other great ideas....right to the back burner.

Hope someday he'll drag it out and rework or finish it -

That is too funny (unbelievable). I even posted in the thread... Might be how I even saw the thread in the first place. Anyway I hope he does finish it someday if he continues the project...

I did sort of have a crazy weekend...

It is true I attended two Christmas parties this weekend at friend's places (one of those I resembled that image, the other my financee did, taking turns being DD ). I then lightly broke my nose on Sunday tele-skiing at The Canyons when a binding exploded and I hit my face on the ski (I think) when I wrecked really hard... I thought I was having a bad day but an avalanche happened (about 300 yards from where I was, but I could not see it) that unfortunately took someone's life... I rode the next chair out with a patroller and heard play on the radio by of attempting to revive him and the specifics of the resque operation, and watched the helicopter in action... Definitely left me feeling queezey and I was very glad I did not take that route. I was literally right there... http://www.sltrib.com/ci_7797940

    Anyway

    Sheezus!! You're a lucky guy.

Skiing on your knee is not for the meek. Hope the nose will be ok. Sad news for some family at the holidays.

dieselcruiserhead glad you made it out with only a broken "shnozola". Avalanches are not to be fooled with. When I was about 40 I broke a leg tele skiing in the back country (well only maybe 1 mile in back country). I was with a lady and buddy who were no help as I ski-hobbled out. Driving my 4speed F150 to the hospital was not fun either.

Sometimes luck pays better than skill. Be careful!

good to hear you didn't get caught up in that avalanche Andre... i figured it was ripe for them with the snow we've had recently..

as for the 4runner project, it was a cool idea but it looks like he went another route... i've read the entire thread on yotatech, and on here as well.. i'm pretty sure the thread on Expo is more complete too.

i'm just starting up my next 1st Gen 4runner project.. it'll be 2" OME. custom bullbar w/ winch IPF's, rear swing-out, e-locker, sliders, 33" Maxxis Bighorns, custom rear trunk(in place of the stock spare tire location), roofrack/ rooftop tent, snorkel...

long term upgrades: supra 7MGE swap, and possibly Total Chaos front suspension for some serious articulation...

i'm going for an expedition/ desert/ conquer anything rig... 3"s and under lift...
