Question Good Junkyards for Toyota Parts is SoCal?

I used to enjoy junkyards quite a bit... you never know what you may find.

Does anyone know any good ones for Toyota stuff in SoCal?

I'm also looking for one of those Hummer 2 spare tire cover license plate mounts.

    there are others also.

If you go......can you help me find a gray Tilt~O~Meter for my '88....? I've been thinking of finding one of these and then changing it out and put other gauges I want in it, like temps and stuff.

    Thanks Mark!

I know just the bit you're after, those are rare but were a factory option on SR5's... If I see one I'll snatch it up!

They deal only with Toyota and Lexus, but seem to be pretty proud of what they have and the prices reflect that. Although they will most likely have any Toyota truck part you'd want. I get their emailed inventory update and a couple of times I've seen stuff that would be nice (like factory bucket seats), but haven't actually personally ordered anything from them.

    Dave.....or anyone.

Do you know if it's possible to order just this new Toyota FJ ....3 gauge pod housing? No gauges inside. Or can we find them in junk yards yet? I thought about using this pod for gauges also.

TAP is in Norcal-about 10 miles from my house. I didn't know there was a Socal branch. They are pretty good to deal with if you go in, and bring cash. Then their prices can be significantly negotiated. For instance, I got a 60 series bullbar for my FJ60 that they were asking $550. I walked in with cash and got it for $200. It's still on the truck today. I've gotten window glass and a few other things there as well. Same deal-cash, in hand.

There are a load of wrecking yards and used parts outlets, including toyota specific, in the heavy industrial area behind burbank airport. Every other place looks like a wrecking yard.

The website says Rancho Cordova. In California I've only been to San Diego for a couple of days (and we flew in, which doesn't do much for me directionally), so I don't have a feel for if that's northern, southern or indifferent. Plugging it into Google Maps it looks like that's near Sacramento, which I guess would be more northern than southern.
