I've been watching this thread for quite awhile and have been inspired/motivated to get working on mine.. I started with a homemade 4' x 4' trailer, we started by putting new springs on and rewiring the trailer..

After the new springs and welding on new tongue and hitch..

Yeh the box is a lot smaller than I wanted but the price was right.. My plan is to extend the box to about 5 to 5.5ft.. I've extended the tongue to 4'.. Next on the list is to put in a new floor and sides and then fab a lid.

Here's what we accomplished today

Taking off all of the wood this week and putting down diamond plate for the floor and the sides and then rhino lining it.
Still need to put the tongue Jack on on weld the safety chains up to. Hopefully the wheel adapters arrive this week so we can get the new tires and wheels put on..

Well there's been a slight change to the build, I'm giving the trailer to my son. He really liked the trailer and he's been helping me with it.
The main reason for this is that I found
a M416 yesterday and bought it.. I've been looking for one for about 6 months and literally stumbled onto it yesterday. So the new project begins

Im building a camping trailer out of a trailer that a buddy gave me, that he had planned to make a teardrop out of, but lost the drive to do so...score for me! Anyways, Ive been tinkering on this project for nearly a year now, modified it twice so far, and I havent even finished it yet...lol!! Sorry, didnt mean to steal ur thread...:ylsmoke:

I think I need a bigger truck!
Kool find on the M416. Funny story too... I found a trailer that I was going to build as an Expo ish trailer. It was a U-Built but was done by a trailer shop to a customers specs. It was really well done and had tons of potential. I agreed to buy this trailer on the weekend...it was Friday, and drove home. Got in the door the phone rang, it was a guy with a CDN M101 in Vancouver for $1200.00. SOLD.

Funny how that happens. Looking forward to yet another build of a 416!
