how to build a rigid frame on HJ 47 or unibody

i have a flat bed HJ 47 1981, i want to attach the camper that i am building to the cab so that it is one rigid unit, in other words by doing this the flat bed in the back will lose it's ability to move independently (twisting) from the cab. my question is; how do i reinforce the body and or the chassis? what i am really trying to do here is to create a "unibody". my land cruiser has a roll bar inside the cab.

If you want to stop two parallel beams from twisting you need to add triangular bracing. Is that what youre asking?

Have a look at Rob Gray's build of "Wothahellizat" and note his triangulation in the frame of the box.

Trying to tie the box into the cab is going to be difficult to make live. The problem is that the cab is sheet metal and was designed as a unit. Tying into it with tube structure can be done, but will take some considerable thinking if it is going to be rigid enough to live and last.

Were it me I wouldn't attempt it. I would instead work out some method of sealing the two independent parts together in a flexible manner. Let them move independently, but keep them sealed with a rubber boot of something like that.
