My Dream truck for forever! Actually Mutual of Omaha's Wild kingdom and Daktari got me going on Series trucks when I was a kid (got 1.5 of them too) But this fits the bill for the Kids/dogs/wife/etc...

Face it man! You keep looking at this Rover porn and you'll come over to the dark (yeah Lucas) side!!!!! Beeee Carrrrefullllllllll!!!!!!!!!!

Look how easy they are to put together!!! And all the parts are readily available!!!

I read a book as a kid of a expedition that took a group to the edge of a river that could not be bypassed or forded. The group took the Land rover apart floated it across the river and put it back together on the other side!

Dr. Livingston I presume?

England's dominance in colonizing Africa and India adds to to these old fantasy's about the true Expedition for me. The land Rover just epitomizes that. Well that and those Colonizations are why we have India Pale Ale!!!

There's just something about THAT particular Rover of yours, the stance, the black rims/tire combo, it's just perfect imo. Ieven like the oldschool "Defender" stripe.

And yeah, I'm becoming all to aware of how I'm being drawn to the Lucas side. I'll always have a Toyota, but a 109 or 110 sure would make a neat project. Not that I need anymore projects

True true. Not sure it was worth all the strife, but, at least the beer is good.

It seems the colonials will have the last laugh if Tata does indeed acquire Land Rover and The Dying Cat from Ford.

No worries. After all you have done to help me with my truck, it's the least I could do. And heck, it does no one any good sitting in my garage. . .

That is a very nice looking 110, but I could never really take to the county stripes. Just seems wrong on a defender somehow. . .

cheers

Such a shame... Not that the 110 isn't great, but having to let two go..
Graham you should get a better job.

I've been over due to post a few pictures. Truck is modified and the only original bits of substance are the body panels and paint. :D

A few pics from some trips:

I'm working on it! But yeah, it was hard to let those two go. The 90 was so much fun for wheeling! And the things the series could do made many a jaw drop at LR events.

cheers

... and another newb...

I've delayed in posting pics for some time now - didn't have current off-road pics. Also couldn't decide where to post... Completed Adventures? Post a Pic of Your Truck? Finally decided to just leave it in the LR section...
