This is a totally unique vehicle and I am very very reluctant to sell it.
Please consider how much this would cost to have built if Land Rover would build you a 6x6 base vehicle...and you gave it to a conversions company.
It is my own vehicle, we've travelled to scotland in it and various other small trips, but never the "big one" to Africa as hoped.
Sadly I now need the value of the vehicle for a potential house deposit.
It is currently stored and on SORN, but will be taxed from March (Friday 1st)
MOT'd until June and has covered about 300miles since MOT.
To give me half a chance of still being able to go camping, the roof tent will be staying with me to hopefully fit to my girlfriends 90, or can be purchased - as long as i can get an eezi awn to keep some how!
History:-
Built in 1996 by Land Rover as a mechanics workshop to use as a demo vehicle.
Previous owner has had the roof raised and a full camper conversion fitted - 6 foot standing height inside - Youngs Conversions carried out the work and they remember the vehicle (hard to forget!)
I have the Special Vehicles build sheets detailing the parts used (PDF available via email)
It is based on a 130 rather than a 110, hence it is longer than the usual 6x6 defenders.
It is a genuine 6x6 no up and over transfer boxes - it uses the proper centre "through axle"
It has it's original 300TDI engine and R380 gearbox.
This has been mildly tweaked with an Allisport intercooler and fuel pump tweak.
I have spent many thousands on upgrades and maintenance:-
For example....
Fully serviced with all fluids replaced.
Cambelt kit
4 x genuine AP calipers
Discs and pads
Brake master cylinder
6 x Bilstein B6 shocks
Re-upholstered all the cushions with hard wearing black cotton
Brand new half leather heated (needs wiring in) XS Puma seats.

Mullins 16x8 HD alloy wheels in Graphite Grey
Cubby box
Numerous storage nets/pockets.
Purchase of private plate.
Interior Spec:-
Fridge, hob, grill, sink, instant hot water heater, mains hook up, split charge system.
Double bed, wardrobe, bathroom wet area with sink and retractable shower.
Twin fuel tanks.
Stainless steel water tank.
Mozzy nets and black out blinds.
Numerous interior lights.

There a few little bits and bobs to sort out before heading off to africa, but it is 99% sorted and perfectly usable as a camper as it is.
