Possible trailer start

There's a lot of steel there you'd have to remove to get the weight down. But pretty hard to beat that price!

I was thinking that the frame alone would be worth it. Gives a good starting point without having to start from scratch. Wouldn't be much more work than a full DIY.

I may see if I can talk him down some. Recycling the tub and axle could help with the build funds too.

Good price but unless you are towing with a duce and a half I would pass.

Find a 101A2 for around the same price and start there.

If I could find a 101 for this price I'd do it, but they seem to be pretty rare around here.

Would be towing behind a 99 4Runner V6 with auto trans.

How much do you guys think just the frame would weigh? I'm thinking it would be too wide as it sits, so would need to be narrowed as well. Maybe it is too much work.

almost 3000 pounds empty - and deuce 9r20 tires and is 8 feet wide - they don't look it but those tires are around 36 inches

After thinking about it more, I'm pretty sure it would just be too much work. I would have to get a new axle, rebuild the tub, and narrow the whole trailer. Hopefully I can find an M416 or similar to start a build with.
