Almost all tablets are manufactured in China these days, many made by companies we have never heard of. Here's an example that has potential as a navigation tablet.

Pipo M7Pro
8.9 inch, 1920 x 1200 pixel display (Full HD)
Rockchip RK3188 1.6 GHz quad-core processor
Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS
2GB of RAM
16GB of storage
5MP rear camera, 2MP front-facing camera.
GPS
HDMI output slot
microUSB port with OTG support
microSD card slot
802.11b/g/n WiFi

The tablet has no Bluetooth support, so you won't be using an accessory keyboard with this model.

Here's a Chinese retailer offering the Pipo M7Pro for sale to international customers for $239, shipping included.

A machine like this one, with great specs and low price, makes it seem more likely that Google can release an upgraded Nexus tablet at a reasonable price.
