Yeah the Alcan 5000, It would be a lot of fun, I have thought about it, but I dont want to be doing a TDS rally when I want to be stopping to look at stuff all the time! Yeah I would still need to run block heaters I think though. Meaning th generator would have to run, or be plugged in. Still thinking about it. It would be fun.... I think double pane windows might help a whole lot though.

We're living in Villa del Leyva, Colombia spending time working and seeing the local sights. The second night after we arrived it seemed like we were going to get run out of town by a forest fire. We learned that Colombia has helicopter fire suppression which took care of the problem. A few days later the rainy season apparently started, since we've had more days than not with rain since then.

We spent the last three weeks making our way south through Colombia and are now in Ecuador getting ready to head to the Galapagos.

The scenery in Southern Colombia is spectacular, but the roads require patience!
