Tried this under another heading but got no response. New guy, I have been lurking in the shadows for months and finally decided to introduce myself. Warren Findley living in Salt Lake City, Forester for the State of Utah,USMC veteran, 2 kids, 2 dogs, Unimog and Jeep nut. Wheeling for 20years both east and west coast. I have been on the Mogmail board for a long time. Anyway the question was, has anyone run the expo trophy in a Unimog yet? I would love to join the group this year but I need a time frame for the event to get a idea if it will be possible.

    Hey Warren -

No Mogs have competed in the trophy yet. The biggest outfit to attend so far has been the Badger's 4wd Sportsmobile sitting on 37's or maybe 35's. It was a big hit with the attendees. I don't think size is an issue, just no Mog-ers so far have attended. It would be great to see one mixing it up with the other brands.

The Trophy is traditionally held in early/mid-November, somewhere in Arizona. With no insider knowledge on the planning for this year's event, I would assume the time and place for '08 will be similar.

I'm glad to see another enthusiast in the Salt Lake valley joining up. There's a bunch of good guys down that way.

Thanks Rob and Guys for the info. I never seem to make it to Calico, I guess its because I would rather go to Moab. I will keep my eye on the expo trophy, it looks like a good time and something different from the standard wheeling trip. The question about Forestry, its good and bad just like any other job hit me off list for more info if you are serious. The guy in Stansbury park, you know Eric Johnson-yellow 416 doka?

I probably will PM you about info about forestry. Oh, I don't know Eric personally, but I do know where he lives (Cause I've seen the yellow Mog, and his sweet tow rig (semi).

Badly in need of more pics of your DOKA.

Was your DOKA yellow once upon a time and have an exo-cage by Cruiser Outfitters in the late 90s? I love that truck, forget the name of the guy who owned it (really nice guy)....
