German Military gas can food thermos. Rare

I picked this up years ago and used it to carry a 18pack plus ice in a jerry can holder. Works surprisingly well and was originaly used to hot chow out in the field.

This is a cool design but I cannot find any info on it. I have several "mermite" cans. They are similar and can be had for 30-100 bucks at military surplus stores. Same concept but clunkier.
