Default Clean M416 Trailer - Florida

    Hello:

I haven't been on the list for awhile, but I received the following message about a great M416 trailer (one of the cleanest I've seen) in Florida for $1,000. No connection and I've only seen the pictures. I apologize if this has already been listed here.

Message copied below with urls for photos (the links aren't active in this post).

    Best Wishes,
    Howard L. Snell

The email address for the person selling the trailer is:

I have what you are looking for...

1966 M416 Stevens for sale. Trailer is in really good condition. Small amount of surface rust in some places. Small dent on the back panel of the trailer which would easily be fixed (bout 1" diameter"). Military wheels and tires. Data plate origional and intact. All origional wiring and lights which I believe to work though I haven't tried because they are 24 V. Hand Brake complete in tact and good working order. Pintle complete also. Trailer also has tow chains and hooks. Origonal reflectors are also present. This is a complete origional trailer.

I really really hate to sell this trailer as I have been trying to find a nice one in the FL area for years. These trailers are very difficult to find in the SE and in this condition.

    Located in Boca Raton.

    Asking $1,000

    Hi everyone,

This is my trailer. I was told this was posted here so I thought I would join to answer any questions you might have on the trailer, and to check out this site.

If you have any questions please ask. Also, I now lowered this to $850!!

    Come get it.

So what is the difference or what do you have to do to hook the lights to a 12v connector on an in and out venture!

I am thinking about this one!

    Have the time
    Have the money

To hook it up to a 12V you will need to rewire it. I am assuming you are talking about the standard 4 prong plug connection. You can go to walmart, buy a cheap set of trailer lights for ~$25. Use the plug, wires, bulb and socket. The wires can be run in the same location as the existing wiring (easy to do with the ground clearance) and either replace the tail lights, or just modify them to use the 12V bulb and socket. If you chose to go this route you could sell the origional 24V wiring and connection to those that restore the trailers to origional and easily cover the cost of replacement to 12V.

For $750, does that include the pintle hitch or will that be removed? Just curious...

Those who say it cannot be done should not interrupt those doing it.
