Has any one ever seen one of these type camper shells with a RTT on a trailer? I'm thinking I could build a trailer just for this type of top plus put a RTT on top. :) TImageUploadedByTapatalk1382070675.026691.jpghoughts?

I think you would have to add support on the interior, as I don't believe the roof would have enough support for a RTT and the occupants

I love thoes campers, you have a door or hatch depending on how you open it up. I ave not seen one with a RTT but I would think that you could build a tight exo-frame around it to put an RTT on.

I found this one for $100, needs the front sliding glass replaced cause its broken.

And then there are the ones made for work that are more solid, that would support a RTT and 2 adults and a child.

I would say it is strong enough for two average sized people.
I would bolt it to the bed tails to keep it from spreading from the weight.
There is only a small cross brace above the door on the rear.

Donkey, I could put the tent on a ladder rack type deal where the shell would not actually being supporting any extra load.
Mark, good idea bolting it down. I was thinking just using the regular clamps.
