I am looking to buy a one owner 2000 Ford Explorer 5.0 with 112,000 miles and it was just inspected 700 miles ago. Synthetic oil changes since new every 5,000 miles and was wondering if someone could tell me if these pictures look alright. Apparently there isn't rocker or where well rust and he said the frame should be good too especially considering it was just inspected. I'm getting it for $2,000 because the mans wife just died and he only needs one vehicle, this was hers. What do you think?

Appears to be typical surface rust for that age vehicle. I don't see any actual rot type of rust. We have a 99 but mostly live in drier climate and are happy with it. Looks like a good deal based on those condition pics and the mileage. You could always wire wheel a few spots to check and coat with a chassis protector.

In the second pic, top right I see rust that would go right through if you wire wheeled it. Not sure how long you want to keep a vehicle for, but you should get a few years out of that before the rust gets too ugly. If want truly rust free, you're going to have to travel.
