For those considering 255/85/16s...ST/MAXX is coming soon

Mine came from Tirecrawler.com I think. But Treaddepot.com has them too. Discount local places can get them, but they don't list them on the website. They're sometimes on Ebay through Discounttiredirect or a few other places too. The local Cooper tire dealer here also could get them, and the price was better than what the local Discount Tire quoted me.

I am looking, and searching,but I am trying to find a height comparison between the Cooper St Maxx and a BFG MT in the 255/85/16 size. I am starting to think that the ST Maxx is a better fit for my Tacoma.

Specifications for the Cooper Discoverer ST/Maxx 255/85R16 are:

Diameter [inflated to approx 45psi, mounted on 7" wheel, off the ground (i.e., no deflection due to vehicle weight)] = 32.8"
Section width = 10.2"
Tread width = 8.15"
Tread depth = 18.5/32"
Weight = 58 lbs.

I have no information about the BFG MT

We installed 255/85 R16s on our Land Cruiser BJ74. Good tire so far.

I might have to get a set and put them on the Tacoma and put the older 255 BFG MT's on the 84 4runner. For a daily driver, which my Tacoma is, the Maxx seems like a better fit.
