I'm too tired for a long winded description. But short story. Spare tire is on the roof.

One more try -- so if you get a flat on the road, you'll gently lower the spare to the ground --- then "lift" the flat to the roof.....

Gentle in a "hold my beer and watch this" sort of a way. And I can strap a tire to the. Ike rack if I have to. But it is only a tire without a rim. These tires are hard to come by so I figured if I have a catastrophic failure I have a tire someone else can fit for me. And small punctures etc will plugged on the truck. We did a month in Baja with no spare which did concern me a little.

But with my wheels weighing nearly 300# fully inflated I didn't want to be dragging all that up by myself.

This is the secret weapon.

Considering the module's structure, you could probably mount a short davit crane on the module corner to simplify the tire changing process.

Looks good Oz, you've been hard at it! I hope you don't need it but you'll be darn glad you've put in the effort if you need it on this next trip!

Hey Oz, I might have my wires crossed but did I read somewhere you're bringing that big beastie to expo east? Love to see it if so.

Cruise control is for wimps. Yep and I am a wimp. It is the best improvement I have done to this vehicle bar none. We did the following after working all day and hitting the road at 6:30
