Have 255/85R16 gone extinct?

Sounds like Cooper is becoming the best choice. Hopefully we all buy enough they keep making them!

My BFG M/T's really have been a great tire. Just wore out fast with bad alignments and all the pavement miles. I'd recommend them to anyone that lives around mud and snow.

Don't know how I never found those Toyo M55. Look nice, but at $300 a pop that is a bit high.

M55 are supposed to be great tires. Tough, good grip. They were designed to be an industry tire (mining/logging etc). They have spots for studs for winter driving. Not a lot of siping so not great for on pavement winter driving.

Definitely expensive. I've never looked into it North of the border but if they are 300 each in the US they must be at least 400 a pop here.

If I lived in the southwestern US and saw a lot of desert I would seriously consider them. Look really bad *** on an older rig too

I had the M55 in 255/85/16 on my FZJ80 and they were fantastic. Best tires I ever owned. Made in Japan, brutally strong.
