New member the the ExPo forum, figured I'd post up my current build. Been off roading for a few years now and recently started getting more into the long trips. I'm on my second XJ, it's a 2001 Limited with heated leather seats :)

EDIT: I'll keep this post updated with current build list, along with links and other ideas for my XJ.

Current list of parts:
6" long arm lift
Bilstein 5165's with 13" travel up front, 5100's with 10" in the rear
35x12.5 Cooper STT's on bead locks
G2 Dana 44 with ARB locker up front
Ford 8.8 with Aussie locker in rear
4.88 gears
Smittybilt XRC front bumper with 9500 lb winch
JCR rear bumper
7" HID spot lights (not sure of brand, I bought them used)
Home made roof rack that holds roughly 500 lbs
ARB high output air compressor
Ironman 4x4 shackle relocation boxes
Tom Woods driveshafts and SYE
Napier Precision Products cut out pocket flares
Dirt bound OffRoad triple electric fans
And some other goodies I can't think of right now

Planned list of parts:
NP231 transfer case (sitting in the barn)
Chromoly rear shafts
Frame stiffeners
Stazworks dual bead locks
37" tires, most likely another set of STT's
Bigger engine, not sure if stroker or V8

Sexy...I've wanted a 2001 XJ Classic since I was about 10 years old. Bought a truck instead since it fits my needs better but once I am able to afford a toy I will definitely be getting an XJ!

Thanks! I'm not a fan of how the exhaust is with the pre cats right under the intake manifold, cause it had heat soak problems that have been getting worse. That'll all be fully addressed when I swap the engine. Other than that, I love it!

What is causing the move to 37s? Judging by your list of mods, and the flex pic, I doubt you'll ever come across something you can't handle on 35s. Just gotta go bigger?

Looks like a pretty darn nice Jeep!

Thanks! I'd like the extra under axle clearance of the 37's. Plus right now with the 4.88 gears and 35" tires I'm running 2500 or more RPM's on the highway. I figure the 37's would help get that a little lower and building the stroker would more than handle the extra weight of a bigger tire. Plus I love big tires, and I've got the room for them.

As do I! Nothing exciting, but I picked up a sheet of 3/4" plywood to make a table that mounts in the hitch. It'll be stored on the roof rack.

That's just one of a few winter projects I have planned to keep me busy when there's less wheeling to do. I plan on making a roll out awning. I've already got a nice heavy duty tarp. I just gotta get some poles for the corners and tie down ropes. Will be starting to gather materials to build a storage system that'll take up the back of the Jeep. I'd like to remove the carpet in the rear cargo area and bed line it. I'll also me making a tank to go with the onboard air. I'll be custom building it to fit inside the passenger rear fender. It's just empty space. I've also got a air horn to plumb in and wire a solenoid for. I'd also like to wire in a p.a. system to go with my CB and the ham after I get my license to operate.

Did some wheeling at a local off road park yesterday. New obstacles were a welcome challenge and everyone had a great time!
