Need some help identifying trailer

Hello everyone,
I have been trolling here for quite some time just gathering ideas for a trailer to pull behind my Jeep TJ. I found this trailer on CL for an awesome price and decided to pull the trailer to start my own build. Before I start pulling her apart and cutting her up, I was hoping to get some information about what it is. I have searched all over the internet and have not been very successful at finding much and since the data plate is missing I am hoping someone here can help me.

Thanks in advance for your help:

Unfortunately I can't help identify the trailer, but I have to say I like it. Looks like it will be a very interesting build. Please be sure and keep us updated with tons of pictures.

Thanks everyone, sorry I did not respond right away, I was called out of town and did not have internet access where I was located. I appreciate all your responses and help

I will definitely post up a build thread, currently working through some ideas in my head...my 10year old son and I will probably start the build over the Christmas break.

Looks like a telephone service trailer. US military used them years ago, Their most common was slightly different than your example, called a K-38.
Bell System companies also used similar trailers as this back in the 30s-40s.

Great find.

That did it, looking up Telephone Service Trailer, I actually found a post on another forum that appears to be my trailer from a few years ago (it even had the same pictures I used which I pulled from CL when I bought it). Anyway it looks like they pulled the data plate off, but I now have a picture of the Data Plate. Trailer is a Civilian Type S-30 Linesman trailer built by the the Highway Trailer Co in 1947. I have only found one other post/picture of this trailer on the Web so it appears to be a rare find...I almost feel bad about converting it to a camping trailer.
Thanks for the help.

no ideas, but those are interesting wheels and tires. are they 18" diameter?
They are 19" diameter wheels, I will be pulling the off and to remove/replace the axle with one that matches my 5x4.5 lug pattern.
