Started with building the second transfercase mount today:

Then i was tried to figure out if there`s room for everything like i planned it. This is the hydraulik tank i`m going to use:

17289795ls.jpg

Disassembled it:

17289799uh.jpg

Had about 20l hydraulic oil left in it:

17289800ar.jpg

Doesn`t look bad in there:

17289801lo.jpg

This is how i`m going to mount the hydraulic pump and alternator and maybe an air compressor:

17289803do.jpg

Then i cut up the tank:

Looks like everything fits like it`s supposed to:

Wow:Wow1:you sure know how to fit a lot of stuff into a small space Steinez. Are you going to be able to do easy maintenace when everything is so close together? Always good progress on your projects. Keep up the good work! Cheers, Chilli...:)

I'm just in awe and impressed as ******k at everything you do! :) "Hey, I don't have this tool so I will build it." :)
I wish I had your skills. :) And I think your projects are really cool! Following with great interest. :)

Thanks guys. Maintenance should be easy because everything that needs attention is easily accessible.

Build the hydraulic pump mount today. First mockup:

Had to mill somrthing off the rear cover...

17307760rj.jpg

...to fit those mounts

17307774jp.jpg

First mount tacked on:

17307795sg.jpg

And because it needs more triangulation:

17307822mo.jpg

Build the front mount:

17307837bx.jpg

Finished:

17307855wy.jpg

Then i started on the alternator:

17307871ar.jpg

Rear mount:

Upper mount:

Everything together:

Started working on the hydraulic tank today. Firsst i cut off the lid:

17316713fe.jpg

Made a fitting for the breathing filter:

17316729bw.jpg

17316743uz.jpg

Figured out how i`m going to place everything:

17316747wy.jpg

Had to drill a 88mm hole in the lid, so i started with my biggest hole saw:

17316754vi.jpg

And bored the rest:

Put some threads in:

And a hole for the breathing filter:

Put the tank at it`s place:

Started to get some measurements for the body:

I just can't wait for more. You are so adept at turning your crazy ideas into reality. Great build. You are a very talented builder.

Thanks for sharing and the inspiration to create.

Well, it`s monday, so i started with buying some steel:

17331097oe.jpg

Also got the radiator delivered:

17331100eh.jpg

Then i started building the cab frame. The cab and frame will be removable. The front mount:

17331101mo.jpg

And the rear one:

17331115if.jpg

Finished it up:

Yesterday i asked my buddy if he can get me some steel for the articulated joint. This is what he brought me today:

17339308ga.jpg

Now i have almost everything i need:

17339318lc.jpg

17339320wa.jpg

Then i mocked up the cab frame:

17339331yx.jpg

Looked for a radiator fan:

17339346fu.jpg

This one was pwm controlled. I don`t need that so i removed it.:

17339354ja.jpg

Made it fit:

Mocked up:

Finished:

Didn`t have much time today, but i managed it to flip the tanks around, what gives me more room and a way better cog:

Also placed the battery:

Well, had some luck today...

Was going to weld both jerry cans together to fab the gas tank. I filled both of the with water and flushed them like i usually do when welding on something that had gas inside and then started welding. Somehow the puddle burnt through and there was a big flame shooting out of the jerry can and it inflated like a balloon. As soon as i noticed it i threw eberthing away and took cover behind my mill. Luckily it didn`t follow anything, but the jerrycan is blown.

I did like 10-15 tanks with this method and it looks like i was happy every time but not this one. So remember this guys, only weld when it`s completely filled with water...

Need to buy a new jerry can tomorrow...

After i bought a new jerry can i started building the catch tank:

17375839sd.jpg

Turned the end plates:

17375849ol.jpg

Welded it up:

17375854mc.jpg

Soldered in all four fittings:

17375858ff.jpg

Then continued on the fuel cell. Soldered in both breathers:

17375859yj.jpg

Then i finally had a use for my homemade bending tool:

17375864km.jpg

Soldered the "fuel gauge" in:

17375877mb.jpg

Both feed outlets:

17375889ba.jpg

Connection between both jerry cans:

17375893jl.jpg

Rest of the fuel system:

17375899gm.jpg

Started building the fuel cell mount:

17375910sf.jpg

Right side mount:

17375920hm.jpg

Cut of the the old end plate of the hydraulic tank:

17375922hg.jpg

Tacked it back on:

17375935pr.jpg

Made a reinforcement plate out of an old spring pad:

17375938ea.jpg

Put my shaper to use:

17375942bx.jpg

Tacked it on:

17375955ow.jpg

Mocked everything up:

17375964nx.jpg

Front mount:

17375965ju.jpg

Rear mount:

17375968ca.jpg

Started with the filler neck:

Mocked up:
