I got ahold of a 96' homelite xl that I was wanting to mount some where on my jeep and was wondering how most of you guys carry(mounted not just sitting inside) your chain saws.

I have a husqvarna, and found the huge case too bulky for my taste. I ended up just getting a bar cover, which has worked out well. Much smaller package. If I put it in a nice vehicle, I toss it on an old carpet remnant to keep the oily sawdust off the floor. Don't care so much about the Jeep or truck. Plus, the bar cover is CHEAP. :)

xxxx + 2 on the stihl case. that's what I use but don't you guys know that threads like this are going to get us in trouble with the sierra club, earth first, green peace, rei, Patagonia, etc, etc. all the enviros. chain saws are evil. there is no place for chain saws in todays world. why do you need a chain saw when you have an iphone. highdesertranger
