I installed a new radio with aux plug today! Now I just need to figure out some house battery issues since I drained my starter the other day. I'm not even sure how that happened so I need to have a better understanding of the system... before I go strand myself somewhere.

I'm planning to head out on a short trip sometime this week...

Any updates on your adventures? I'm planning on doing the same in a few years and just picked up my escape vehicle. Happy travels, Hobo.

thanks guys! there is one change I'd really like to make, and that is having rear windows that open for better ventilation... is this 1-possible? 2-something that has to be done by professionals? 3-something i can find at a junkyard and do myself?

I need to go to the junk yard to get a new door handle for the slider anyway. And I took apart and replaced a part on my roof vent.. i think that is the first time i've ever done something like that (take apart, order part, put back together)...

That does look okay! I guess!
The rear windows should be easy. Lots of vans had pop out windows in the rear doors. Its just a matter of unbolting the fixed ones you have and replacing them with the pop outs!
Check the wrecking yards. If you find 2 sets, pull them for me! No yards nearby!

You can probably find windows out there used.

If you want to install windows where there aren't any then you might need some slightly specialized tools to cut the body out. There are a couple of threads about it around here.

Looks like its a cargo van without any rear windows - so its gotta be cutout first....

I've seen people put roof type vents in rear doors as an option - the ones with the fan's give nice airflow with privacy. Just an option... smaller cut out required.

thanks guys... there are windows in the back, I just have them covered up with some fabric covered reflectix panels for privacy and blocking out sun...

i realized in the fall that there is just not enough airflow with just the driver/passenger plus roof vent... need something in the back. of course having a fan back there would be super awesome for the pup. for when i'm boating.

REDOVAL had some rear pop-out windows for the vans last month.
PM him to find out if he still has them. 2 kinds if i remember correctly, tinted and non-tinted.
I was tempted to pick a set up when he installed my HID headlights but I've got other things to complete before doing this.
