^ I would say yes. You get much better shots of it in the video. Very cool to see someone out romping around in one.

Sorry, thought I remembered generals on your truck. My imagination maybe? My bad.

Love to see Baja pics, your truck looks great again. One of those years I'll make it down there.

haha must have been your imagination. Thanks and you definitely should. It almost seduces you...you don't want to leave.

Is that a Rally Fighter? Looks like it was a great trip!

Yes it is! It did great and outperforms the Raptors in most situations. The lack of 2wd made a couple sections tough but all in it did well.

Thought I'd give an update on the tires. They continue to perform really well. We had a lot of mud on our last run through Arizona and Utah. The tires kept us moving. I was able to self recover after being stuck twice.

Still no flats between my truck and Gordon's which is huge based on how much it costs to replace tires.

Spent a few days up in the Black Rock Desert and Bodie over the weekend. Bodie was really cool and I recommend everyone add it to their list. The only thing I didn't like is it's definitely filled with tourists but it makes up for it with all the amazing buildings.

Update on parts: Everything continues to perform well. I continue to be impressed by the Icon RXT kit. I had 4 people in the truck with me while hitting a nice whoop section and the truck just took it in stride. Considering I had an additional 600LBS in the bed of the truck, I say that's pretty damn impressive. Falken Mt's continue to hold up well. No flats yet. I expect to get a years use out of them which is about 20K miles of which 3500-5000 will be offroad. If you were to spend most of your time on pavement with mild offroading I'd expect 40K miles or more out of them.

Trucks looking great and a couple pretty awesome looking trips! Always like checking up on your adventures. All these pictures are making me miss the desert, unfortunately not looking like I'm going to be able to make it down anytime soon...

Nice truck, looks like your enjoying it. Thanks for sharing, cool vids and photos

Thanks fellas!

Thanks for sharing such great and detailed info.. Love that truck and your adventures.

Where do you sleep? Do you carry compact, lightweight camping gear?

Great thing about the Raptor is I can pack a ton of crap in it lol. But I try to keep it as light as possible. I usually use this cot tent. It works great and keeps me off the ground. This model folds up in a way so I can store it on the side of my bed. A lot of the other models fold up in a way that make it very awkward to store in a vehicle.

Went out for a fun weekend trip with some friends. Less off-roading than usual which was nice. Did some shooting and exploring. Found a sweet campsite with an amazing overlook of the valley below. This is up in northern Nevada around Fallon.

Great video!!!!! I drive a Raptor for work and they are amazing rigs. Make me look like a 4X4 hero compared to my old XJ.

Big50 I am curious about those Lowrance units that you guys use on your trips. Are you guys using auto specific units or just their units advertised for boats/fishing? It sounds like you can load your own tracks and route data onto them to follow, is that right? I am starting to think about adding something like that to my set up, I work a lot with GIS/mapping and would love to be able to put my own maps/data into the GPS and follow that for trips. From what I have seen it would be harder to do that on a GPS/audio system like lots of cars come with now...

I had a HDS-7 Gen 3 but never got around to using it. Sold it to a buddy and now using a tablet and pairing it with a dual receiver. Those units are pretty cool and it's the Marine unit that you can create own tracks etc. There's even a way you can use Google maps/earth with it. Mine had the Baja Bundle with external antenna.
