Dropped off the truck at Aluminess so they can develop a new 'severe-duty' bumper. Great folks there. Really lookin' forward to see what they come up with. Modifyin' the left swing-arm to handle the weight of the spare and incorporatin' a bike carrier right into the design. Modifyin' the right swing-arm to add a box to carry a genset.

Well I'm starting a new skid plate for my AirDog because a buddy accidentally put my work in progress in the metal recycling bin which got picked up today while I was at lunch. Guess it's just an excuse to make it better

Installed a set of 8" KC lights I picked up off Amazon for 282 bucks. (Note the brutal workin' conditions on the shore of Lake Mead.)

And then while makin' a high-speed baja run 'cross the desert to get from the Mountain Springs Saloon to the Pioneer Saloon I busted the crap outta my grossly overloaded Aluminess spare tire carrier.

Folks at Aluminess have been great. Already lined up to drop the rig off at their shop so they can design and build a new version that'll handle the weight load of my 140 lb spare and my 30 lb bike ... and my drivin' style. Cheers to 'em.

Looks like fun! Let us know how the Wicked Wheel works, might be getting one myself and would love to get some real world stats about it. Great looking build btw!

Last week was a fresh NV4500, front drie shaft and all driveline fluids. This week was new HO alternator, and ordered up all the gaskets and sels for a KDP check and timing case bolt re-torque. I'll get on to that in the next week or three.
