As the title says 86 cc LB 4wd po has had it for 15 years, <50k on 350 crate motor and rebuilt turbo 400 tranny needs tires.
I am thinking about this set up for a platform for an Alaskan or 4wd Slide-in Camper and tow rig for jet skis and secondary driver. Giving up on a combo daily driver / adventure rig and just going to buy a little gas sippers to zip around in. Any thoughts? It has 4:10 gears at present what would be a better ratio for highway driving? (90%or better the rest being service roads light jeep trail) let's face it she is no wheeler

Looks like a great start. 3.73 or 3.56 gears would help with the MPG and you can pick up some additional highway speed.

If you plan to go with a larger tire you might want to wait to pick your gears.

You have a 350 which like to spin and 4.10s I'd run a 33 or 35 sit around 2500 and be as happy as one could be.

That's a nice old truck!

If you don't need the brute strength of the Turbo 400, consider putting the money from you theoretical gear swap into getting an overdrive transmission. If you go with a 700R4, you get a lower first gear of 3.06, and the .70 overdrive. A big transmission cooler along with the 4.10s in the axles will help the 700R4 live a happy life. You could probably get away with a slightly taller tire too.
