For all of us building our own interior, this is a very smart design making use of electrical actuators and more... I'll let you checking out for yourself ;)

A bit complicated or overkilled but you got to respect the passion...

Pretty sweet, but I'd leave the actuator out. The rest of the design, particularly the "nesting" foot extension is really trick.

Like I said, overkilled but I still really enjoy people thinking outside the box. It's easy to tell the owner is passionate with his van or at least really enjoy working on it. The end result is pretty neat too...

If we always posted the same typical modifications it'd get boring pretty quick! ;)

I think it would be cool to have something similar so you can easily access whatever is in the drawer while the rear is configured as a bed or a seat!

However, the nesting portion leaves a equivalent amount of storage space open/not utilized while in bed mode. Would be nice to have a hinged lid or something similar to access that space if, say, you are just traveling as a couple and keep the rear configured in bed mode the whole time.

It seems like the slides for the foot section would have to be really stout. With the drawers out any weight on that end would put serious torque on those slides. Even the 500# rated ones would be questionable for that much weight. I like how they did the head rests for the seat notched in with the shelf in the back.

From the CAD drawings it looks like the extension is on rollers and located/extended by the actuators. Only the drawers themselves are using the drawer slides.
