My Daily Driver Expo Work Truck: 1984 K20 Suburban Diesel 4x4

Fell in love with these trucks. So, I bought a K10 (4x4 1/2 ton). Found a K20 (4x4 3/4 ton) I liked better. So, I bought it. Took a a 9 hour bus train bus then train trip to get to it. Then drove it 350 miles home and seemed to get 22 mpg. Now, I have to sell the 83. Stay tuned for developments.

I'm guessing the K20 is a 6.2? Auto? 22mpg out of that brick is impressive! Fight the urge to put it on 6" lift and 37s if you're getting those numbers!

My plan is to make sure it's mechanically sound. Then possibly a 4" lift so I can put skinny 33" (255/85R16) tires on it. It came from the factory with skinny 32" (235/85R16). It has a SRTA rebuilt four speed auto 700R4 in it pushed by a 6.2 Detroit Diesel. I drive it like a grandma just like my Rovers.

Hangin' with the Defender 110 and Super Duty in Anza Borrego. The bone stock rig performed great this weekend. Just need to adjust a couple doors and fix a couple window regulators.

The Suburban is one of my Favorite Rigs. NICE find. I would love to find one in that color as well but with a Diesel.
