M416 built to go with my JKUR

Been offline for a few months so I missed all of the fun. The trailer is looking great. I too like the tailgate. Wiring looks really clean--well done. Better hurry summer is almost over in NY isn't it??? It ends sometime in December here. Post lots of pictures and don't forget the Harbor Freight tonque box or it is not finished.

Thanks Don. I am up in the air about the finish of the tub. I am considering having it painted at Maco or somewhere cheap and doing line inside. Camping season ends here in early October. I am trying to get it primered by the end of the week, so I can get it to Mainline overland in PA to have the lid made. Today I made new safety chains, extended the landing leg, and finished drilling hole in the gate and angle iron for mounting.

Primed the tub today. Taking it to have the lid made Monday or Tuesday.

Yesterday I dropped the trailer at Mainline overland to have the lid made! I should have it back in a couple of weeks. I can't wait to see it. They are making the lid out of aluminum, so it should be nice and light.

I am curious to see the lid and the supports. I have seen several made out of aluminum and they seem to work great. Are you putting angle iron over the round tubing (I may have missed it in your photos) or how is the seal designed?

You are almost ready for camping. I am 2 years on the tub primer and still cannot decide on paint. My son and the d*#n Taco is screwing up my color match. I may have to just paint his Taco to match the Jeep so the debate will be over. LOL

Don, they are going to do angle over the tube. I say paint it to match the Jeep. It would look very nice.
