ZODI Extreme SC Hot Shower Sputtering Help

Hi there-
After a couple trips my Zodi hot shower is sputtering.
I have a trigger faucet modded to the hose. Everything worked great till the end of the last trip when the sputtering began.
I replaced a damaged o-ring that was located on the inside of the tank, and still had the sputtering.
I don't hear any hissing of any sort when everything is synched down.
As soon as I hit the trigger I get air mixed with water.
I also tried the system with out the hose attached, only the release valve.
After pressurizing, no hissing, I open up the valve and sputtering persists.
Should the down tube have an air tight fit with in the threaded nut that runs from inside the tank to the outside?
(hope that made sense)
I have tried an extra o-ring in-between the locking nut and the extension piece.
Looking at pictures online Im noticing different hardware in this area.

Can any other Zodi Extreme owners tell me if their down tube rattles?

An update for anybody with similar issues

After a few emails back and forth with zodi I found out that my down tube was not up to par. The tube was missing an expanded end with a rubber gasket that is suppose to seal off any air circulation. Must have been a "made in china" mistake. They sent me a replacement. Good customer service there.
