Optima yellow top battery in their Jeep JK?

Anybody figurine out how to fit an Optima yellow top in the new 2012+ Jeep JK. The local auto parts store sold me the wrong battery. Both Quadratec & Optima have nothing listed. Optima has no new batteries in the design stages. I suppose I could use this battery in my Adventure Trailer.

My stock Lead Acid lasted 6 years-

I can't run dual batteries in my JK. And the Yellow Top does not fit. The terminals are in the wrong location and I cannot modify the stock wiring. If you have fit one into a new 2012+ JK please post a picture.

Optimas are spiral-wound AGM, not gel.
Very appropriate for Jeep use.

Just exchange your YellowTop for one with the terminals on the correct sides.

I have two BlueTops in my trailer, BTW. They recharge VERY quickly and put up with abuse that has killed other brands in less than a year.

There have been more problems with the AGM/GEL batteries in 5 years, than Lead Acid in 30 years--

The new ECM/Elex charging systems are still tuned to LA batteries, so I have too many years success withem to change now and don't have any justifiable reasons-

I like Optimas because:
1) take abuse
2) don't mind vibration
3) don't spill or vent
4) no maintenance
5) low internal resistance means faster recharge
6) light weight for comparable amps
7) much fewer parts, welded pieces, bits that can fail

I'd use flooded LAs in a golf cart though...

I'm INDIVIDUALLY SATISFIED with my Lead Acid batteries-

Be Happy, don't worry-
