Cannibalizing Older RV/Sprinter Donor Conversion

Anyone, cannibalized an older motorhome (A, B, or C class) for cabinets, tanks, stove, frig, etc. to use for a Sprinter conversion. Ideally, I suppose, the size of the older RV should match the specs of the Sprinter, 144 wb. Suggestions?

Just keep in mind the age of the donor. There are some very nice products offered today like on demand water heaters, composite propane tanks, compressor fridges and ceramic heaters that are much more advanced than what was available only a few years back.

Also keep in mind the curvature of the Sprinter's walls, especially toward the top of the van. In a Sprinter, no part of the sides walls is perfectly perpendicular, so cabinets designed to a Class C "box" will be problematic. Careful fitting to the wall will be possible for base cabinets, but the overhead cabinets will need cut pretty radically, as the curve makes a difference of several inches between cabin width at the ceiling and width a foot lower.
