anyone use a wagan portable solar unit

anyone have experience with one of these? local on cl has one for bout 2/3 the price of new. still a bit pricey though. is it anything that i cant build with a wheeled cart and panels/controller/inverter?

Build your own. I built a solar generator which is mounted to my trailer (no more noisy generators).

Based on the specs, if you used the inverter at capacity, 1500watts, you'd be flat in about 15 minutes. Recharge would then take 16-24 sun hours, which amounts to 3-4 days maybe depending on conditions at 10amps max, although it will never achieve it with an 80w solar panel, the best you could hope for would be 4-5. The most I see on some 90-100 watt panels at times is 5.

I agree, build it yourself, or keep shopping.
