2001 Isuzu Trooper question

Is 145k considered really high mileage for these vehicles? Is 2001 considered a good or bad year for the Trooper???

How easy are parts to come by?

No, 145K isn't high, although I would wonder about the care the auto tranny received, as with any used vehicle. Isuzu fixed a piston oil ring problem sometime in 2001, supposedly the motors with the fix have a screw-in PCV valve, and the older ones have a push-in PCV valve. But there are plenty of Troopers out there that have this "problem" and are still going strong.

There is no problem with common parts. Hard to say about more uncommon parts like engine internals, haven't heard of problems though.

I had one that we sold with about this many miles on it and it was one of the most trouble-free trucks I've ever owned. I felt pretty sure that it would have gone another 100k, but we needed a vehicle that got better gas mileage for a long commute.

No problem at all.

Mine has 170k and runs fine.
