Zojirushi Bento Lunch Jar

Here's a portable thermos that would fit easily into a motorcycle side bag, or even a day hike pack. Glamper warning!

The Zojirushi Bento Lunch Jar is a traveler's thermos that contains a stack of four smaller bowls. The smaller bowls are plastic, in different sizes and are microwaveable. The outer thermos is stainless steel, keeps two bowls of food hot or cold (though not both at the same time), two smaller bowls at ambient temperature, and is available in four colors.

Available on Amazon.com for $41, including a stainless spork and nylon carrying bag

Also available in a slightly smaller and less expensive size, the Ms. Bento.

Reminds me of a blond joke I heard once:

A blond is sitting at her desk when he office partner gets a thermos out from her bag. "Whats that thing?" she asks. "Its a thermos" the other lady replied. "Oh wow thats so cool! But, but, what does it do?" asked the blond. The other lady replied "It keeps hot things hot and cold things cold." So the blond goes out and buys one and takes it home to her blond room mate. "Whats that?" asks the room mate. "A thermos!! It keeps hot things hot and cold things cold!" exclaimed the first blond. "So what do you have in it?" asked the room mate. "Two cups of coffee and a popsicle."

I own a gray one. I use it for work. Kinda bulky really. The spoon it comes with sucks so I bring with me a spork and chopsticks, snow peak plug.
I can't get full eating from it even if I or the wife pack's it to max capacity. The thermos feature is cool except after packing my lunch at night I toss it all in the fridge so the hot still needs microwaving.
This only really works if you or your wife packs your lunch in the morning before you leave for work. My morning routines doesn't include lunch packing. I'll update this reply with photos when I get home.

I've had a 1.5L Zojirushi Tuffsports Vacuum thermos for years. The best thermos I've ever owned, hands down. Boil off some water in the morning before breaking camp, have super hot water for tea around lunch time and still have plenty of hot water left for hot cocoa in the evening.
