Dimensions of rear cargo area of Gen III

Hi there,

I was wondering if any Gen III Montero owners might be able to give the dimensions of the cargo area behind the middle row seats. I have a drawer system in my 80 series and I'm wondering if it would fit the back of a Gen III. The Drawers are 44" wide and 36" deep. I'm considering replacing my 80 series with a Monty for a few different reasons(mpg, comfort, age). Not to mention the fact that they are 1/3 of the cost of a 100 series of the same vintage. Much thanks ahead of time.

My '01 is 40" wide at the narrowest, and 37.5" deep.

That's what I was afraid of. Depth is perfect but width won't quite work. Thanks for getting those dimensions Fergie.

You can trim the interior plastic and it should fit. I'm looking at removing the lower section of plastic for my camper build.
