*Come out and test drive it! This bus is bump key!*

Selling our 2000 60ft New Flyer Articulating accordion Bus. This rare find was just recently decommissioned by King County Transit along with quite a 60 other ones because they have just upgraded the fleet to the new diesel hybrids. The city paid over a quarter of a million this bus ($280,000) This bus was running routes the days before it was driven to the lot where we purchased it. Meaning it is in tip-top shape since they met all the insane passenger hauling DOT regulations and standards. And has nearly a full 300 gallon tank of diesel worth $1000 that comes with it. And the lease on the tires from Firestone I had to pay off which was another $2500 for the recently replaced New siped tires it has on it. (Not retreads either)

Also you wont be able to come across another one like this for sale most likely for another 10-15 years since 26 of those buses went to California and 30 buses to Minnesota to be sadly scrapped for their metal and parts, which they said was worth $22,000-$26,000 depending on metal prices, interesting fact I was told, is they have over 11 miles of copper wire in the buses. Anyways I and a couple others were the only ones lucky enough to save a couple of them. Also I spoke with the Head City Metro Mechanic/Records manager and was told this one was one of the best picks since it recently had the Engine and Transmission rebuilt, along with a ton of other new parts like turbo, Hydraulic lines and quite a few other accessories. I can provide the contact info for the info on the rebuilds an specs if its purchased. And the Chasis only has 200k hwy miles (not city miles was a commuter bus and have some of its routes to prove it)

Here is a quick list of some of the Features & Details:

Model: D60HF
(Bullet Proof drive terrain package) *neither leak a drop of oil or anything
Pusher - Cummins M11-E
Transmission: Allison B500R
Exterior: Paint is all in good shape! no dings dent dents or scrapes

Worlds biggest party bus: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wnquxsQfbzo

So overall this bus is in great shape running and driving shape, we drove it 300 miles from Seattle and it cruised along nicely even had plenty of power going up and over the pass. Our plans for this bus was to make it the worlds biggest tailgater and make it a profitable business opportunity and rent it out for different events and functions which we already have different clients for our shuttle and taxi business who said they would be really interested in using it when it was done and willing to pay $1000+ per event and were approached by a couple companies looking to sponsor it or wrap it. Or you could turn it into one of the worlds biggest party buses. Or make one of the biggest RV MotorCoach conversions it is well insulated and really sturdy making it a good candidate for a conversion. Unfortunately we just recently started our taxi, shuttle and party bus business and figured we have to much on our plates right now to be able to have the time to build it out so I guess we have to pass this great opportunity on.

Pretty cool but terrible in the snow.
Halifax Nova Scotia bought a bunch and they couldn't run on hilly routes on snowy days.

Most articulated buses are speed limited from 45-62 mph.

That combined with 11 miles of copper wire make a great case for salvage.
