TOP GEAR US drives a AEV Brute crazy

Thanks for posting, as I had heard about the episode, but never had a chance to watch it.

That said... it left me with no desire to watch another episode of TG USA.

I'm sure AEV and Overland Journal signed waivers and such absolving TG of all liability Re: Damages, but I wonder how they appreciated the treatment of the vehicles...

There's a really long thread on this elsewhere here on ExPo

Found it.

Scott says in that thread that Top Gear covered the vehicles, even against total loss, and paid for all repairs (which were minimal).

Most of the rest of the thread seems to by OJ distancing itself from the idiocy shown on the show, which I can understand.

What I don't understand, is that apparently Nena Barlow from Barlow Jeep School, was apparently working on the episode. I'm not sure of the truth of that, as the show seems to go entirely against all the principals of Barlow.

Dave H (owner of AEV) also commented over on the AEV forums.

He said (roughly) - That's Brute Double Cab 01 - Still going strong. It should easily handle that kind of abuse, and it does.
