Thanks for posting up Woof! Some cool looking aerodynamic add ons you got going there. The compressor looks like you got a clean install going there. Handy little stove too!:Wow1:

Forum update: I haven't forgotten about the Suburbillac. My current job has become a real hassle and the lousy weather and no real permanent work shelter kind of makes things a little difficult. Been under the weather health wise too. Probably from too much work and stress. I'm planning on doing the tear down of the Cadillac engine when I'm confident that I have 2X the cash necessary for the engine rebuild. I hate credit, I don't believe in paying for the same thing twice. I'll post pics of all the lights installed and wired up, just need to get an extra pair of hands to help with the wire runs and the soldering of the connections with heat shrink.

I was hoping for a brutal winter in the Pac NW, but it's turning out to be another wimpy winter. Of course they could use some warmer weather back east right about now.

sundays are really tough for me. They should free up after the first of the year, at least in the afternoons.

Update: I now have the LED lights installed. I quit my hassle of a job and will be starting a new one here in about a week and a half. To say that the LEDs are bright is a rhetorical statement.

I would like to post a video to this forum showing the great illumination, but I may have to make a youtube link for it.

Fore and aft lights. I will need to paint the hood flat black as there is a great deal of glare being reflected off the hood.

More progress

Now that I've had some time off before I start a new job, I've been building this set of drawers for the floor of the Woofwagon. I found a similar design on the web and thought, what the hell I can build that too. It's based on the area of a 4' x 8' sheet of plywood which fits in the back of a Suburban with ease. Enjoy the pics :). The pic of the stained panel will be the upper surface of the drawer system. I applied several heavy coats of black cherry stain and then 3 heavy coats of UV resistant outdoor rated varnish. This the surface that will see the most abuse with gear, air mattress and whatever I may need to put in there. The roller bearings are skateboard bearings and the ID of the bearing is sized for a 5/16-18 bolt. I will post later pics showing the construction of the drawers.

Finished up the main installation of the drawer system this afternoon. I'll do some final staining and varnishing later. Since I have no rear seats, it made sense to use that area for another drawer. I'll put a set screw in the main drawer so it doesn't come shooting out when pulled to full extension.

A little too thin for a coffin dont you think Mr Woof? At least you can keep your firearms in there....:Wow1:

Otherwise nice work.
Just keep posting those pics and make sure you come up north this summer.... :wings:

I couldn't go much deeper than that or I'd be taking up too much room for me to sleep comfortably in the back on an air mattress. I have other items including battery storage with inverter systems to be mounted outboard of the main shelf/drawer.

Some progress pics. I painted the hood flat black with bedliner to reduce glare from the LEDs. I installed a pair of GM bucket seats. Much more comfortable for my large frame.
