I know they have been around for some time but these need a thread over here. We are Glamping Bikepackers, are we not?

Topeak is pretty awesome, but that tent sucks. I tried to like it.

The German trailer that looks like a hack of a Bob trailer a North Face Basecamp duffle and an Action Packer.
We just need Salsa, Nemo and Adventure Trailers to team up. :bike_rider:

I can't imagine how crappy that top one would pull with the 4 tiny wheels on tandem axles...the single wheeled middle one looks the most promising to me...and I agree that some Topeak gear is right on but other stuff of theirs is questionable.

I think most of us who have spent enough time in tents know that some tent designs can look great but in real life are miserable failures. I think I would hedge my bets and go with a proven combination like a Bob trailer and a backpacking tent from a reputable tent manufacturer.

That said, I'm all for thinking outside the box and trying things because that's the way we end up with great new gear.

Just for grins, I wondered if my four person MSR Mutha Hubba NX tent would fit in my Bedrock Bags Entrada bar bag....and it does. So, if you were so inclined, you could have a massive tent on your bars and skip the trailer bologna.

HMT Handlebar mounted tent vs BTT Bike trailer tent. It will be like trying to choose a teardrop vs a RTT. :REOutCampFire03:

Certainly not going to take that Bushtrekka on any singletrack. It reminds me a bit of the Adrenalin pop-up camper trailer.

How in the world does this begin to make sense. Any hint of a hill or crosswind and things will get stupid ugly really fast. Proves the old adage that just because you can do something doesn't mean that you should do something.
