so I work as a machinist. I recently moved to 2nd shift , 3:30 to midnight. We all know jeep headlights have been under-powdered since about 1941. Now that I am driving home in the dark and with snow incomming :( I decided to upgrade.

I went with the KC headlights. a lot of people have complained about them in other forums but I had them on my LJ and they did just fine. SO once again I got them, for 99.00 its a ripping deal.

out of the box they are about 2.5x brighter on low and nearly 3x on hi beams. They work well and fit well. bang for the buck factor is high. and considering your next up option is delta for 170.00 then your going to the 500.00 range after that.

I'm not that hot with a camera and any before/after pix looked like head lights at night lol so I wont post them.

in the end I would say for the price they do the job well, compared to stock it is a big jump up

Delta are crap for more money. Glad the KC work for a good budget option. Truck lite are the best upgrade you can make, but are pricy.

I put the same lights in my JK not long ago. Picked them up for $65 shipped brand new. They are excellent for the price, so much brighter than stock. I am thinking of swapping the bulbs to some silver star ultras though. I also went and added a 20" light bar that is just unreal in how it lights things up.

Do not use siverstars, they do not increase light output. The only bulb I found that worked good was phillips extra vision or extra power, cant remember the name exactly. NON coated blub. anything with a coating does not work.

Interesting, I will have to look into them.

This may be worth a look for you. Spent $260 shipped to get this light bar and the harness for it, it has been great so far minus a small bolt issue which I think I have resolved. This was absolutely worth the money I spent, I feel much better driving at night on the back roads with this on. Even better riding off road especially with the moose out in heavy numbers. I went with the combo pattern.

This was in the pouring rain and fog from a cell phone camera, so keep in mind it is brighter in person.

Dry day, just the light bar mounted low. There is a hill on the far end of the picture so light drops off there

Light bar and fogs this time, also a hill at the far end where the light drop off is.

Light bar and highs on (same kc headlights you have), you can see over the small hill this time
