Are you planning to mount the fuel cans horizontally so they don't hang below the tub?

Planning on mounting them in front of the tub behind the harbor freight tongue box if I have enough room, or possibly horizontal.

Replaced the lunette with a receiver hitch to attach a Max coupler and get a little more distance between the trailer and tow vehicle.

Looks like some great additions, good luck with the build. I am picking up a trailer on the 17th and figured after reviews I will go with the Max coupler as well. I have a JKU also, I was looking at a 12 1/4 extension? Will that be enough? Could you open the tailgate the way it was? thanks

The way it was with the tire up front I couldn't open the tailgate. Afraid after I put the tongue box and fuel caddies I may want a little more room.

I ended up adding about 14" to mine if I was just adding the tongue box it would be perfect. But it's gonna be a little tight adding the fuel caddies.

Mine are extended 19" for clearance. That doesn't seem like much, but boy does it extend it alot.

Got my new axle, fenders and 35's on the trailer.
The attachment for the parking brake was a little different on the dexter axle than the original. Used a split shaft collar on the backside of the cable on the cable in the pic it's not tightened up but when it is it takes all the slack out. It looks like it's going to work good.

Also got the water heater mounted in a Pelican 1550 box.

Next project is going to be mounting up the tongue box and running the electrical. If anyone has any good tips or threads to look at it would be greatly appreciated.
