Finally got some time to work on the bumper, with any luck I'll be able to finish it soon.

tight package! One piece of advice would be to put that winch in tension and see how much everything flexes before painting and finalizing everything. I bet it's pretty sturdy, but that tall winch moves quite a bit from what i've seen when under full pull. Hate for you to use it and then be unable to access hood or jam up the grille. Looks good though, look forward to more pic!!

You inset your winch and bumper into the grill? Bananas! That is pretty slick. I'm not sure I would think the juice was worth the squeeze, but im not the one building a square body tahoe. Probably was pretty simple compared to cutting the back off and grafting it back in. Keep going, you got some sort of talent and vision kicking. Im exhausted imagining the work you got in this square.

I dont plan on using this grill since it's old and brittle, my plans are to build a grill like Sonis war wagon.

Decided to mount the spare tire inside rather on the bumper, also narrowed up the bed slide.

With the seat down I can still sleep or carry long material.

Im thinking about building a mount for the high lift jack to keep it safe and clean.

Also removed that heavy sheet of 3/4" plywood in favor of some bling, it's now the fastest bedslide in the southwest.

Mounting as much as possible inside sure does keep it safer and secure. Also gives the vehicle a less cluttered look from outside, keeping it under the radar of thieving opportunists. Nice work, please keep posting updates. Your work is way beyond any of my abilities, your ideas are well thought out and artfully executed. Thanks.

Wow! Nice work on the bed slide and tire carrier. I'd love to see some additional pics of the carrier if you get a chance. I am in the process of figuring out a solution for my spare as well.

Thx,

Brad

surprised you didn't keep the tire on the slide and put the tire flat so you could run a raised deck with storage around the tire. Looks great though! I would recommend some nice gasket material on those edges before you sleep there...could make some nasty cuts while you move. I have some stuff that would probably work well if you like, sell for $.25/ft and put in USPS flat rate boxes

Thanks, I'm glad you all like it.

I didn't want a raised deck do to fact that I want to be able to sit up and as for the edges I'm looking for what I think is called pinch welting.

here you go Brad.

been working on the duel battery mount, decided to take advantage of all the room under the bed in front of the fuel tank.

found this door down at the local rv store, fits perfectly under the bed slide.

just enough room to drop the batteries in and work on them.

I had some free time today so I bent and dimpled up this bracket to mount the air compressor.

Some more progress, was able to get the battery and air tank mount finished, painted and in place.
