Fridge Slide Lock, would you buy it again?

I'm looking at mounting my Engel MT45 in the rear of my 100 series Land cruiser and trying to decide if the Slide Lock is worth the investment. I'll keep the fridge in the Cruiser half the time, and the quick release feature is attractive. I have a few specific question I'm hoping to gain answers to:

  • Any rattles in the system?
  • Do you ever need to fight the lock to secure it or release it?
  • Do you find it faster than ratchet strap?
  • Are the feet rubbery or hard plastic? Good traction or slick feet?
  • Would you buy it again or not? And why?
  • Would you suggest an alternate securing method?

Thanks in advance!

•Any rattles in the system? No
•Do you ever need to fight the lock to secure it or release it? No
•Do you find it faster than ratchet strap? slide and click
•Are the feet rubbery or hard plastic? Good traction or slick feet? nylon pucks
•Would you buy it again or not? And why? yes
•Would you suggest an alternate securing method? as good.....probably need to bolt down

Mine is presently broken, it released during some wahiba dune bashing and came back down and broke the catch....not had time to track down a replcement yet.

probably was'nt fully engaged before takeoff !

It does what it ways on the box, it keeps the fridge in place and is a push to fit and click to release 3 sec job
