Ok,
I have a 2003 10ft scamper I am lifting for some extra clearance for taking on dirt roads. It will not be going up rock crawling trails or anything like that. I just want to add some bigger tires and give is some extra clearance.
I am going to weld a set of spring perches above the axle that is on it now. I hope to get 4" of height there. If I need a couple more inches I was going to extend the shakles wth some new ones.
Next up I have a set of pro comp es1000 shocks from a front of a ford F150. I was planning on putting them in the build to calm down the bounce. Is this a good idea or not?
On the inside I am insulating the beds with some reflective materials, and installing memory foam matteresses. The rest is pretty much good to go. I need to repair a rail that has unscrewed from the roof inside.
another question, are the rails for the lifting mechanisim supposed to be loose at the roof? my roof moves around a lot and one of my lift rails sticks a lot.
New to the pop up deal. We love the size of the camper for the 4 of us but I want it relialble .
