Fantastic Rally Raid for women only, between 18 and 65 years of age, from 33 different countries, in the Moroccan desert.

The Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles is developing a new vision of automobile competition: no speed and no GPS, just old fashioned navigation, completely off-road.

Good luck!!!

Expedition Leader
The Total Chaos Toyota team of Combs and Pitell-Vaughn took first place in the Newcomers to 4x4 Truck category. They finished in 10th place overall among the trucks.

Also of note was the first place finish by USA citizens Alyssa Roenigk and Chrissie Beavis in the Crossover class. It was Roenigk's first try, and Beavis's second participation in the race. They drove a 4x4 Sprinter van.

"no speed and no GPS, just old fashioned navigation, completely off-road"

Right, this rally is an old-school time and distance rally. No navigation aids other than a compass and simple maps. You're given a destination and a time when you're supposed to arrive. Reach the destination early or late, and points are added to your score. Lowest point total at the end of six racing days determines the winner. The overall lowest point total was achieved by a quad racer, a Polaris 1000, just a few points below the first 4x4 truck.
