Bought a cheap canoe to beat around mountain lakes with. It works pretty well up there, but a 15' aluminum is a bit of a heavy b*tch.

Really bummed I missed out hooking up with you guys for a night. SE ended up missing a lot of the heavy stuff, but it still got peppered a bit.

Was that over the holiday? We got a lot of local ranchers advising to keep off the desert floor from water, but it looks reasonable from your shots.

    How were conditions you found?

I ended up more around Owyhee, N of Rome up as far as Cow Lakes / Birch Creek drainage. Was reasonable but still had some picking to do around that evil mud in puddles. Probably be pretty good traveling if the rain keeps away and the puddles get some dry time.

I hear if you drill a bunch of holes in it you can save some weight.

Mine just sold today, a pic about 15min before it drove away. I bought it in CA and drove it out here to VA, sold it here in VA and its headed back to CA on Saturday - go figure!

Yep, summer pics. Haven't made it there this year yet. Looked beautiful as I was driving back from Moab earlier in April though.
