Hi There,
Long time lurker on this forum. Love what everyone posts here.
I currently work for a company that employs a GPS trip tracker type device for mileage tracking purposes. We used to use one of AMODs FAT32 USB type devices before they stopped producing them. I have searched on Alibaba and reached out to multiple manufacturers for information on similar devices but no one can seem to reply to the specifics of the devices that I ask about. Below is a list of our requirements:
Technical requirements
Must log GPS breadcrumbs at configurable intervals of 5-60 seconds
Must log to a file in NMEA format (GPRMC sentences)
Must be able to rotate the file every 24 hours at a configurable time (ex. Rotate every 24 hours at 04:00 UTC)
Must write the NMEA data to a date-stamped file with .bus extension
Must have a physical or soft button that writes a waypoint (GPWPL) to the NMEA file
And the physical requirements
Must have a USB connection
Must be mountable as a FAT32 USB drive to a computer with the files timestamp
Must have rechargeable battery or power through USB or cigarette lighter
Must be able to store at least 60 days of NMEA files
Does anyone know of a reliable manufacturer that I can reach out to? We are looking for small (simple to operate) units.
Thank you in advance.
