just curious if these are hard to find in the US. I live in Canada and own 2 ( had to get my own as wife wouldn't part with hers) and there are many for sale in edmotnon (city of 1 million)
at any given time ?

Not terribly common. Remember that the US was never a friendly market for smaller diesel vehicles, at least not as much as Europe and Latin America. Now wit hate VW debacle, I would think even less for the "common" people...
